Walmart Auto Care Center

I ordered tires online and scheduled an appointment for installation. When I first arrived, the service technician informed me that he could not check me in for approximately 30 minutes because I was early for my appointment. Initially, the experience appeared positive. The technician took my keys and stated he would check me in while my spouse and I went to Subway to get a sandwich. Within minutes, we received an alert that the vehicle had been checked in, followed shortly by another alert stating the vehicle was in service. Within approximately three minutes of receiving the “in service” alert, I received a call from a service technician stating they could not perform the installation. I was leaving the Weirton area from out of town with my family, and I got a flat tire. It was a Saturday evening and right before the Auto Center was closing. I was desperate because we had to get back home that evening and no other shops were open. When I told Matt, the service manager, my story, he said they would change my tire even though it meant they would stay past closing time. I couldn’t have been more impressed. He even chased down my daughter’s balloon when it escaped out of our car right as we were leaving. Thank you for helping us get home!

I wanted to add this update to the review below. I took my Tacoma to the Toyota dealership to have the tires checked and they rebalanced them stating that all four tires were over 2 oz out of balance . I took that information to Walmart and spoke to a different store manager who went above and beyond to apologize and refund a portion of my tire bill . It was a bad situation but Shannon was a pleasure to deal with. I ordered four Michelin defender tires on the Walmart website and had them put on my 2023 Tacoma at the Weirton Walmart. It cost over $1,200 and when I left Walmart and got on the highway the front end and steering wheel chatters and shakes over 50 mph. I called them and took it back the next day. They said the tires were balanced and there's no issues. I got back on the highwa

I purchased 4 tires and a total of 3 installed over the period of a few days. There was an issue with one tire; they said I had something wrong with my car so they couldn't put the one tire on. Before. I drove off I noticed my tire looked funny although maybe it was because the other tires were new. NOPE! Stopped at Sheetz my tire had 14 lbs of air. Okay maybe you couldn't change the tire, but damn you could have at least put some air in the tire before you gave it back to me and let me drive away on it. Especially knowing all three other tires were new and obviously needed and the one that couldn't get changed probably needed the most help. I won't be coming back here again.

Better off going to a local tire shop.
