Walnut Hill Smog Test Only

Eddy did great work with me. I came in with a 2004 Honda Civic from out of state that had been modified by the previous owner with a custom air filter system not permitted in CA. He helped me see what I'd need to do and pointed me to a place where I might find used parts. It turned out that place didn't have what I needed, but with a few phone calls I found a place in L.A. that specializes in Japanese cars that did. I put everything together, and when I returned, Eddy retested without my having to pay again for the retest. I saved at least several hundred dollars. Whew!

At first I thought the guy was friendly as he was joking while starting the paperwork. But then he checked my car's gas cap, said it's no good and immediately tossed it away without my consent. He replaced with a new one and added $10 to the cost, trying to fool me that, doing a smog test with the original cap (a bad one, he said) is illegal. I told him, I was not going to do a check here. He gave me my cap back and angrily told me not to come back even I buy a new cap somewhere. I told him not to worry because I will never come back anyway. While I was exiting, he came to me and said, after I buy a new cap I can come back and he'll do the test for me. Though disgusted I politely answered OK. 10 minutes later at another test center, I got my car smog checked without hassles. Poor the guy,

Very bad person! Lie to you over the phone for a 40 dollar smog check, when you arrive, price increase! Ta-Da! Is okay if you tell me 60 bucks on the phone, but not okay when you say 40 on the phone then 60 when I arrive. Well... just a smog check, I hope you enjoy life making money this way :-)

Ed is rude and publicly humiliated me, just because I asked for invoice of $75 for his diagnostic work. Never again use his smog test service.

Don't go here. All they care about is having you pay. They will be dishonest until they charge you. Save yourself the headache and the trouble. Just go somewhere else.
