The journey with this motor is definitely a long one. I’ve had this k24a engine since 2017 and built by a shop that continued to take my money for 5yrs to never finish my Ep3. It was huge disappointment. Fast forward a couple years still with my K24a and I now have a 93 Honda Del sol. Spoke to many shops about a kswap into my Del sol. One place stood out the most to me was when I met Gary @ WangAuto was that I loved that I didn’t have to speak to a few different people (trust me a few shops did) about the build it was just him and broke everything down as he should. My boyfriend got the Honda civic Type R and got aftermarket parts and tuned when he bought the car so he got rejected from the state. Gary Wang ( the owner) was helping him out step by step, help him find the stock parts and get the Honda ECU. Now my boyfriend car is inspected and street legal. Gary is one of the most knowledgeable mechanics when it comes to used Honda’s that’s why he can take a car with $190k miles and make it sound and ride better than one a couple years newer with 115k miles. We bought a car from him in July to make a cross country trip with my terminally ill son. We did have a small issue with our alternator that made us have to stay an extra day in Niagara Falls but we are almost glad it happened because we created memories we wouldn’t have had otherwise… and with no questions asked Gary reimbursed us for the cost of the alternator which wasn’t necessarily covered under the warranty.
