I got quotes of one hour (about $160) to rewire the fuel pump if it had been incorrectly wired by the previous repair shop (causing multiple electronic problems), and about $208 for engine no-spark diagnosis. I even cut a fuel pump access port in the bed of the pickup truck to make it easy. What I got back was that the coil, distributor cap and rotor needed to be replaced, and that was all they were going to do, take it or leave it. They didn't feel like working on the fuel pump that day. The total was going to come to just under $1000 (almost $800 for parts and additional labor!). I just called to get an estimate to have four tires I already purchased mounted and balanced on my vehicle and was quoted $500. When I checked with Walmart, they offered the same service for $18 a tire. As a consumer, it’s hard to reconcile a difference like that. I genuinely want to support local businesses rather than large corporations, but price gaps this significant make that choice difficult. I’m hoping there may have been a misunderstanding with the original quote, but either way, the experience was disappointing.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. This past summer, my car started missing and also had a headlight out. I don’t have a lot of money because I’m on Social Security and a rather small pension. So I was rather scared about getting it fixed. I didn’t know where to go.. I had been to dealers in the area, but they were so expensive. I decided on Wells because they were close by. Long story short, The office staff Was super friendly, especially the woman working the front desk. She kept me apprised of everything that was being done. And gave me choices on how to save money. The tech who worked on the car did also. I highly recommend them.

Was struggling to find a shop to fix a steering problem. Decided to try Well’s from reviews. Turned out to be a great choice. They solved my issue that two other shops did not resolve. They also noticed a brake line leaking and tightened it, which showed me they took time to look things over. We didn’t notice the leak until returning home that day and saw a small amount of brake fluid on the garage floor. My service adviser, Zac, was great to deal with!
