Westover Retirement Community

Our mother had a really bad fall which resulted in a broken pelvis and shattered shoulder. After having two shoulder surgeries, extensive rehab and being diagnosed with early stages of dementia we sadly knew that our mother would not be able to return to her home. We wanted to make sure that she was in a safe environment with all the care that she needed. Needless to say this was a very difficult decision. We arranged for mom to tour Westover and she made the decision to be a resident of Westover. The staff is amazing and genuinely show that they care. Mom has settled in assisted living and has a lovely apartment and participating in activities and has visitors from family and friends daily and she has made many new friends at Westover.

As a retired firefighter I had been to the Westover Retirement Community many times always feeling it was a premiere center for senior care. Due to unfortunate and sudden life changes I found myself in need of an assisted liv ing facility for my father. The location places him close to my family, and that seemed like a good start. Once I contacted the facility my expectations for both customer service and level of care for my dad were exceeded. The management and staff have been nothing short of amazing. We were made to feel welcomed and have found a new sense of Community for my dad. We are 4 weeks into his living there, and we are both more than satisfied with every aspect of his experience. My mom was so scared and sad to have to leave her home to come into an assisted living facility, but this transition has been surprisingly, smooth for her. The customer service is more than we could’ve ever asked for from the director, to the DOA ,to the sales office all the way through nursing aids, Therapy and maintenance. Everyone has been so kind and supportive during this difficult transition. I highly recommend Westover retirement community for anyone who needs care and support in a new home.

My mom was in here it was really bad. They did not care about her. They let her arm get infected in black. Did not try to get a hold of the doctors or send me any kind of report. I told them her arm was smelling and it was infected and it was always covered up, so I could never see it after a week and they didn’t do nothing. I ended up calling the ambulance, and when the ambulance driver come into the nursing home. He said I can smell the infection walking in the door. I just cried. It was the saddest thing I have ever had happened to me in my life, and then after having four other surgeries to get the infection to go away, it would not, and she ended up passing away. Westover Community has been a Godsend to us upon relocating my elderly cousin from Denver to Hamilton. The knowledgeable staff have always had answers to our questions in a very friendly atmosphere. Even though my cousin was reluctant for the move initially, after just a few months she considers this her “home”. Great food, friendly service, wonderful staff-what more could we ask for?? Thank you for all that you offer all of us!
