These guys are fast, efficient, and friendly! I needed to have my routine transmission maintenance done on my truck and I wanted to bring it to a specialty shop since I've had bad experiences with dealerships. They had it taken care of very quickly. There is also a great antique store and coffee shop right next door for you to enjoy while you wait. I will definitely be coming back here for all and anything related to a transmission!

Fred is awesome. You wouldn't know this when meeting him, (he seems much younger) but the guy is 77 years old, has been in the buisness his entire life and knows his stuff. Listen, when it comes to money and blown transmissions, you're not getting out of it cheap no matter who you call. What made Fred stick out to me was his compassion for my situation. I'm a self employed electrician, I NEED my truck. Fred had me back on the road in three days. For a brand new transmission, labor, and a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty I spent 5,550.00. Because of his many connections, he saved me 1,000 dollars compared to other shops that specializes in transmissions. He could easily be reitred right now, but he enjoys helping the community. If you're hesitant, don't be. Call Fred, I'm sure glad I did.

I never leave reviews but my experience here was exceptional. Fred spent a significant amount of time with me diagnosing my problem and offering various alternatives and related warranties. I was able to make a well informed decision that met my needs. A new transmission was ordered and installed in only a couple of days once it came in. The price - with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty - was very fair and reasonable. Fred also identified a bad motor mount that needed to be replaced (that was missed by the dealer only a few weeks before!) and only charged me for the part since it was easy to replace while the transmission was being replaced. Great shop to deal with they knew exactly what my truck had for a transmission before I finished telling him and exactly what was wrong with it. The warranty that came with my new transmission was better then factory.... more then 100% satisfied !

Be forewarned. My regular mechanic sent me here because Fred has the equipment to "flash" the vehicle's computer. Well, after keeping my vehicle for three and a half days (my ONLY vehicle) he still couldn't "flash" the computer. But, as luck would have it, when I went to the doctor the vehicle finally turned on the "check engine" light and the problem was an easy fix. The problem I have is that Fred marked up the price of the part needed by 132% (from $80 to $186) while still charging labor. When I checked the cost of the part on the web (2 different sources) I found it ran between $52 and $66. When I went back and spoke with Fred he informed me that "marking up the parts prices" is how he makes his money. Well, in 40 years of having my vehicles serviced I've NEVER been ripped off by such
