Took my vehicle for a water pump change. They changed the pump and had it back to me in a few days. After driving it I noticed the motor was weak and popped the hood and they failed to reattach the turbo charge pipe (picture) . Took the vehicle back and they reattached and was nice about it but the motor still didn’t run correctly. After 2 more trips to the shop they diagnosed a coil problem, fixed it. The issue is they caused the coil to go out with their poor reassembly job; but charged me for the coil replacement. I spoke with other mechanics and a mechanical engineer and they agreed with almost certainty they caused the issue. I asked for the 200$ back out of principle and was denied - keep in mind I spent 2,000$ for the water pump job which I didn’t ask money back for.

I was traveling on 75 Northbound when I experienced car trouble in the form of a stalled motor. Being far from home and traveling for vacation, I had no idea who to trust, so I called a fleet management service and the guy that answered the phone highly recommended Whitley auto service. Well, I called around 12:30pm and asked if they could help me. They said they hate to see anyone stranded and agreed to let me have it towed there. Dropped my car off right before closing needed new transmission fluid and filter had it ready early the next morning and a fair price and so far my Toyota is running smoothly

Hands down, Whitley Auto Services is the best automobile repair facility in Dalton, Georgia. As a long-time customer driving a truck with 281,000 miles on it ( Yes, I squeeze ‘em for all they are worth! ), I have on more than a few occasions relied on Whitley Auto Services to bail me out of mechanical difficulties. Owner Brent is a hands-on guy who knows his stuff, and keeps a highly qualified staff on hand. No BS, no upselling, just honest and knowledgeable service.

If I could give no stars I would. I took my trailblazer down there and had the transmission rebuilt. It took them a month to finish that. It did fine at first. And then it started shifting hard. I took it back about 4 or 5 times and they said they drove it and was nothing wrong with it. It has set more than I was able to drive it. Then when I went to drive it one day would not move foreword or backward. I called and they said it had been past my “one year warranty” and that they could work with me if I could bring it in down there. My dad looked at it for me and the transmission is burnt up and the transmission fluid is black. I have drove it a hand full of times and that is it. They did my step brother the same way he kept having to take his vehicle back. I will never use or suggest them
