Customer Reviews
They are disorganized on their inventory it says online that they have the part and says the price I call them locally didn’t take my money when I was trying to order it online because first they don’t have the part and then the lady says wait I’ll get back to you to see if we have it but the price is going up like what you don’t even know if you have the part and the price has gone up then she gets back and says oh we don’t have it and it’ll be two weeks before we get it like why are you guys even have a website that says what you have, and you don’t even keep up with it that was a whole waste of time. They are disorganized and I and have a careless attitude. The only thing I would say is they were not rude, but just not a place I would do business with.
I had recently acquired a Willys with the wrong starter, missing trans to engine plate, and stripped out ring gear. Contacted Willys America to find the correct parts. Spent $550 on the starter alone and probably $700 total with plate and ring gear. Starter would not mount up, was informed that I needed to elongate starter holes. The plate was wrong had to get another one from them. The ring gear was also wrong and by this point they started ghosting me so I had to buy the correct ring gear from one of their competitors. Overall, very displeased with their knowledge on the Willys and their customer service.
I recently bought door channels from them. They were supposed to be 54 inches long like the oem ones. They are only 48" long. I called them to talk about it and they said they cut a 96 inch piece in half. So that's just the way it is. In other words, they told me to go pound salt and I could return them if I paid shipping. What a bunch of crap. And the website said they were $40.00 each but when I received them they were $46.00 each. I will never purchase from this company again. Buyers beware !. Go jeepster man. Much better company to buy from. Tom Ceccarelli
Willys America crafted a new rear driveshaft for my 1959 Willys Station Wagon. Upon receiving it, I was thoroughly impressed by the high quality and craftsmanship of the replacement, which was a perfect match for my worn-out original. This has been a delightful and significant step in the journey of restoring the wagon that my grandfather once used on our farm.
Willys America has a lot of neat looking eye candy, however is not open to the general public without an appointment. Folks who stop by and ‘just want to look around’ are not allowed to do so. This business is not a junk yard but a specialty repair garage working on customers vehicles and the limited staff does not have the ability to entertain visitors. If you have a Willys vehicle and want it repaired or restored, this is Thee place, however, call in advance or you will be turned away. It is on private property, and the owner is very protective of his customers privacy.
