Winterhaven Agricultural Inspection Station

ICE was the problem not the CHP. Yes, everything was done legally but these people were playing hardball. Not happy with state licenses.. they made us dig out green cards and then gave us a unnecessary stern lecture about ID's. A suggestion, if you look "unamerican" and not only just Hispanic individuals; expect to get hassled. Keep passports and green cards at the ready at this particular checkpoint. Our unfortunate experience was May 2025.

Vehicle died approaching the station, coastal past stop sign and out of way. An inspector came over after a few and gave a cold bottle of water and helped push it to a parking spot. There was a bad connection in the wiring harness near computer. Wiggling caused it to start, bump caused it die. Was able to go again after about an hour working in the shade of a building.

Zero professionalism. The guards/"officers" stand hidden the only way I had seen her was in caught a glimpse of her bright pink lipstick only to be greeted as "yah I'm talking to you, you got any fruits"? 1/29/2025 2:41 pm 1st lane open heading west. Please get some employees who understands a work ethic.
