Yellowstone Rent A Car

Rented a Jeep Wrangler in August for our Family Vacation to Yellowstone. We had an excellent experience with Yellowstone Car Rental. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The vehicle was in great shape. They pick up and drop off right at the airport entrance. The price was actually far more competitive that the other rental agencies. I highly recommend this business.

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!! It started off well: We only had to wait about ten minutes for the driver to pick us up at the terminal and drive us to the rental yard. Once there we were greeted politely and went outside to do a damage walk-around: The rep took 4 exterior photos and I followed her to look as well. As it was steadily raining, I could not get an extremely close look at the windshield for superficial scratches, nor did I notice any such scratches during my rental period nor did any rocks hit the windshield during my rental period. When we returned the car, the rep again took photos and returned us to the airport. Highly recommend. Local, customer centric, competitive rates. They provided us with free bear spray rental which saved us money. We had a 2025 model with excellent safety features which was helpful navigating all of the crowds in the Yellowstone parking lots. Sunroof was a must to safety view bison and elk. Thanks Danielle!

Not actually at the airport, you have to wait for them to pick you up / drop you off (I waited about an hour before I found another ride to their location), and you have to let them know an exact time you'll be dropping off the car (so they can have an employee there). Car worked and employees were nice. Edited to add (based on owner response): It is *not* clear that this is an off-site pick up. My original reservation was with NuCar (that was somehow transferred to Yellowstone), no where on NuCar's site does it show this is a shuttle pick up (at least not easily visible) and in fact shows BZN as the pick-up location (screenshot attached). Lowered to 1 star due to lack of accountability.

BEWARE!!! I rented a vehicle from this company for a family trip to Yellowstone. Employees were very kind. I bought insurance on the vehicle and had personal insurance coverage. The vehicle was very new and drove great. During our trip the passenger window cracked for no reason other than it was cold outside and the heat was running (the only logical explanation). No signs of anything hitting the vehicle or negligence. When I returned the vehicle I showed the attendant who said, "It should be covered by the rental policy". Months later, I receive an invoice for $1,875, including a $175/day charge for "lost revenue" for 8 days. I rented the vehicle for $125/day. Now they're threatening to send me small claims court or collections. STAY AWAY from this company and use Hertz, Enterprise, Alamo
