Zips Car Wash

Bad attitude of the employee, totally sad within a service industry. I had a moderately decent wash. I came in with a not badly dirty vehicle. My front was still loaded with bugs & guts, the worst was my tires. They appeared like soap hadn't touched the bottom part of my suv. And, My bumpers were bad. Doors at eye level were good. I got the premier wash, the most expensive wash available at $25.00. The car came out just as dirty as it was when it went in, but covered in soap. I watched the right side brushes stay against the wall and didn't touch the car in front of me or my car. The bottom half of the whole car was filthy. The front of the car still had road dust and grime on it. (This was wiped off with a cloth, so a properly working car wash should have taken it off). The tires and wheels were still covered in dirt and road dust. About a 8" section of the two left side tires had what looked like tire shine on it. But by the time I got home less than a mile away, that had dried up and was gone. Yesterday, I took my car to zips in Salem. Once I was all the way inside the tunnel, I noticed the brushes were slapping against my car and it was making a really loud noise. It kept slapping against my windshield and I could hear the glass crack. hence, my windshield is shattered. I was horrified and just wanted to get out of that tunnel. When I finally did get out, I found that a gentleman in front of me and also the one behind me had experienced damage to their vehicles as well. Not only did I have the shattered windshield, but there was damage to the front grill, hood, and roof of the car. Unfortunately, the manager was very unhelpful and rude and would not provide any information to us. This was a really scary situation and is not going to be easy to navigate. Definitely a great monthly rate for a pretty decent wash. They have several locations in the area, so you can wash anywhere under the same monthly plan. Sometimes the vacuums are down, but not often and not all at the same time. The attendants keep the lot very clean.

Bought a 3 month package. No paperwork, didn’t sign anything. And they continued withdrawing from my checking account for 2 years ! When we caught it and discussed a refund, since we hadn’t used the car wash for a year, they denied us. They are a rip off, and their customer service is terrible! I would not recommend them to anyone !
