I brought my 03 Passat in for a alignment. They put it on the rack right away. I had been aligned about two months earlier at a different shop. I had been hearing a clunking sound when turning but was unable to locate the source. The other shop said everything looked good. They did the alignment but after a month the steering wheel was no longer straight and both outer tie rod boots were badly torn. I decided to replace the tie rod ends. I was still hearing the noise so I brought it to 3 Star. Within minutes they brought me a video showing that my Rack and Pinion was defective and that was the source of the noise. I replaced the rack and returned for the alignment. They were able to get me in right away. After the alignment my steering wheel was straight and the car tracks as it should. Th
