I was interested in buying a car from this seller and even came in to see it in person. Everything seemed fine at first. But as soon as I suggested taking the car for an independent inspection — fully at my own expense — the seller completely backed off and refused to move forward with the deal. Any honest seller should have no problem with a basic third-party inspection — unless they’re hiding something.

I took delivery of a 2008 Avalanche from A-1 Auto this weekend, a 12 year old vehicle with over 170,000 miles. As a back-up family vehicle and errand truck for less than $10K, it's perfect. I drove by the lot on a weekend when I saw the truck for sale and then looked at their website inventory and carfax details when I got home. Happy with what I saw, I called the office to arrange an appointment during the week. Jimmy met me at the lot and described his process for sourcing and inspecting used vehicles... and I took it for a test drive. Very smooth transmission, spotless interior, and solid engine. Thought I’d leave an updated review on the 2007 Lucerne that I bought in December 2023—-just hit 100,000 miles, which my previous Buick never had the chance to do. Literally did not spend a dime on repairs the first six months after purchasing from Jimmy and any repairs since have been completely due my own driving. I feel so lucky each day getting in this car (which I have lovingly dubbed as Hortense), and genuinely enjoy my longer commmutes because driving this car is so smooth and comfortable, it’s such a treat. Truly could not have asked for a better experience buying a used car. I feel so lucky to have found this place, and the owner, Jimmy, is so genuine and well-intentioned. He sold me a 2007 Buick Lucerne, and the car was even better in person than it was online. He went above and beyond to confirm the service records of the car, going through the CarFax report with me, and even calling up the car's original owner to double-check on any maintenance history that didn’t get recorded in Carfax. I’d recommend him to anyone looking for a used car, especially a well-maintained but older model, and would buy from him again. Jimmy, thanks for setting me up with one of my dream cars!

My experience with Jimmy could not have been any smoother than it was. He didn't want to waste my time and I didn't want to waste his. I made an appointment, I showed up 5 min early , I drove the car, paid asking price, and now I'm riding in the best car I have owned. He was also amazing with my mom who was with me who.has alzheimers which made me like him even more .
