A Plus Transmission Specialists

Had my truck towed in for a leaking transmission. Tim and the guys found the problem quickly, and fixed it at a reasonable price. Had my truck back in a couple days.

My wife and I were on a road trip hauling our RV when our GMC Sierra 1500 lit up with a transmission-overheated alert. Perfect timing, right? I pulled over immediately and—by sheer luck—we were within sight of A Plus Transmission Specialists. One short tow later, we rolled up, we were greeted like we were long-lost family instead of two stressed travelers with a disabled truck. There happened to be a hotel right next door, so getting settled for the night was painless. After I explained the symptoms, he made an educated guess about the problem before he even popped the hood. We left the truck for their free diagnostic, and sure enough, his suspicion was dead on. My truck has always been serviced by GMC dealerships, so I assumed everything had been done by the book. Turns out… not so much.

Tim was fantastic, communicating with me every step of the way, from towing my truck in, sending the online analysis of the issues and repairs being done, and taking care of me when I came in to pickup … my pickup!

Called on a Mon... someone actually picked up the phone. Took it in for a free diagnostic. Sounded legit, at a reasonable price... they were finished by Fri. Nothing fancy.. just honest work.

At first I thought they were great and were going to get the job done right and within the week they told it would take. Next thing I know after picking the transmission up that they had rebuilt for me I had to go back to them because they ordered the wrong torque converter for the transmission and that’s where all the problems started. It’s been over a year trying to get them to fix other problems they caused like destroying my tail shaft in the back of the transmission to damaged that pictures by them while vehicle was in their possession. This place is garbage and the dude running it is a joke. Half the mechanics in there don’t seem to know what they are doing. Nothing but problems with this place and would never recommend them to anyone, in fact I’ve started warning people about them.
