AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I cant say anything besides wonderful things about this shop. We were stranded after our suburban tow rig decided to quit pulling our airstream and we had it brought to Aamco Athens. Miguel had the truck in that afternoon and indeed I needed a new transmission. I knew it also had some CELs for an O2 sensor but did NOT know it was misfiring as well. A re-manned transmission as well as a few othwr parts were ordered as well as helping my wife move things into the rental car. The transmission and tune up parts arrived in a few days and were installed within a day. The tranny was coded and the misfire cleared and we were on our way home. Great job folks I cant thank you all enough.

I couldn’t recommend AAMCO more! The front staff are wonderful and kind. Their prices are fair and the service is quick. As a woman getting work done on her vehicle, I don’t feel taken advantage of price wise or treated differently. Such a great and comfortable place! Beep Beep, the shop cat, is an added bonus! Keeps the best company while you wait for your vehicle. Feed him treats and he’ll be your best friend!

AAMCO Transmission was the first place that was on top of their game dealing with CarShield. Anyone else the first thing was $100 deductible so I’d just say just ask about your deductible but other than that communication was great with Kimsey, Miguel and Robbie. I had a transmission and transfer case taken care of through CarShield but handling everything and it being done in a timely manner was great.

These guys correctly diagnosed a problem that two other shops didn't, charged a reasonable amount for repair, and had me back on the road super quick. They were clear, communicative, and friendly throughout the whole process. I'll definitely use them again!

Outstanding! I do not recall any car mechanic shop that not only stands behind their work but repeatedly fix the problem until it is done successfully. The staff are exceedingly polite and make sure you are comfortable with any work that needs done. Aamco in Athens, Ga is the only place we take our cars.
