AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

If I could give this business less than one star I definitely would! I had my daughter in law’s Jeep towed to AAMCO on 2-27-26 at approximately 5:20pm after the repair shop “diagnosed” her Jeep and sent me an estimate that was dated 2-27-26 at 8:00AM and was told that her breaks were completely locked up and that it would cost her $1800 plus the tow which I was told would not cost anything if I was located less than 15 miles. I am less than 4 miles away from the shop. Thankfully, between her, my mobile mechanic, and her soon to be deployed fiancé we all realized that this repair shop is nothing but scammers and dishonest people! REDEMPTION!!!! Stella got her groove back! These guys pulled through again!!! Got my tires and a complimentary oil change!!! I would only give them one piece of advice… Better time management and transparent communication!!! Those things will take you far in the industry, because y’all already HAVE the MECHANICAL SKILLS!!! EDIT 12/30/2025: I went to AAMCO in Round Rock off I-35 and they are performing my repairs. Matt is a great guy to work with, their review will be posted pending completion of the work. I arranged with the shop manager ahead of time to have my truck looked at for some major repairs. I took time off of work and dropped it off at 9am, expecting that they would need some extended period of time to run diagnostics. I called at 3pm and they haven't even looked at it yet because the technician had a transmission install on another vehicle. For 6 hours my truck just sat there and I was at home assuming it was being diagnosed!!! I made arrangements in advance, it's not like I just dropped by. I'm going to spend several thousands of dollars for these repairs, but I guess this shop wasn't really ne

I was impressed with Daymon's politeness and efficiency in resolving my issue. The transmission repair took only two days, which was fantastic. Thanks to the AAMCO technicians, my car is now running smoothly. I highly recommend this place due to their honesty. Daymon, thank you for taking care of my car's needs.

They charge $189/hr, although they good a good job, they are kind of rough when handling vehicles. They fixed the driver's side window regulator, but the sideview mirrors didn't work anymore because they weren't connected, the unlock button didn't work after that, and the back windows don't work as well as they did before. I went back to tell them about those 3 issued that happened after they repaired the window. Since they did work before I left them my car, I can assume they broke a few things here and there since they were working fine before. Instead, they charged me to fix the unlock button and claimed to of fixed the side view mirrors for "free". It was their fault to begin with. Also, there is a sign "We are not responsible for damage to vehicles" I guess that explains somethings. O
