AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

My wife and I broke down in our van as we were going through Danville on the way to Florida. We really needed to get to back on the road as soon as possible. Aamco recommended a tow truck who arrived within minutes and was super reasonable $55. Once the van was at the shop they diagnosed the problem and fixed it within just a couple of hours. They were totally fair - the repair and part came to $140. Plus they were super nice. Thanks so much to them and how they treated us as we really needed their help! Highly recommend!!

I had a transmission problem and had car towed to this business. Repairs were under warranty. The work was completed correctly and quickly. Sherry is amazing! She answers phone calls immediately. I was NEVER put on hold. Very friendly, she even remembered us from a previous experience. Great job, thanks to all involved in this repair

Buyer beware...my car was misdiagnosed. I paid over $1000, they had my car for about 2 weeks, and my car was returned wih the same problem. My car is actually making a worse noise after repairs. However they were able to fix the AC. But they failed to replace the fuse which was causing the back blower not to work. Test everything before paying for service. Update: I just tried to start my car and it won't start. But they replaced the starter. 😪 We will be going to court.

We were nervous in a new place, at the beginning of a long trip, carrying a heavy load. (too heavy) They asked great questions to pin down our problem. They were through and tested it out with the computers and on the highway. Turns out it was just an air intake sensor. So they didn't have to replace anything. They gave us great info on how to proceed with our load and told us not to let anyone take advantage of us on our way. Our transmission was fine. I have since had my regular mechanic look at it and the result is the same. I love finding an honest mechanic. They have awesome customer service.

I wish I could put zero stars!! They are TERRIBLE!! Took My car in just to get My Air conditioner fixed. Dropped it off running with NO PROBLEMS! Got back My car wasn't running. Wouldn't even start. I had to get a tow to another shop. The lady that worked here was so rude and very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE taking their car or truck here if you want it back running. They honestly don't need to be in business. One Star is giving them too many. This was the Danville Va location on Memorial Drive.
