AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I have been bringing all my cars to Aamco n Hackettstown for about 5 years. We have 3 cars with higher mileage and therefor le there is always something needed for them. Aaron is by far the best mechanic/office manager I have ever dealt with and he has my loyalty for as long as he is there. His communication and explanation is impeccable. What is most appreciated is his willingness to help solve problems in a more affordable way if possible. Recently, I needed an exhaust repair that would have been over 1k and he was able to patch, weld, new gasket etc for about $ 350. I don’t know any other shop that would get creative to help out their customers like this. They can’t recommend them highly enough !

Fair prices and confidential in the repair, the dealer prices became outrageous. They have gone out of the way making small adjustments at no charge. Highly recommend the Hackettstown AAMCO.

They helped me out alot great service Mark the owner and Arron the manager along with Mike the tech. They fixed my motor mount in a half hr. I appreciate the honesty as midas lied about there findings telling me it was a transmission issue. Aaron diagnosed the real problem and was honest. My cars never been better I highly recommend them. Mark was very friendly and helpful. I had them replace the CVT fluid in my Nissan Sentra and they also corrected my tire pressure. My car is running smoothly with no issues. Definitely would recommend.

I originally took my car in for rebuilt transmission. Everything was working fine up until 8 months or so. Started having the same issues again with the transmission. Long story short, took it back and they had two technicians drive it but they didn't feel anything. I also drove with another technician in the car as I drove and it was not acting up. I stated to Aaron it doesn't do it all the time so of course with the technician in the car I was hoping it would show the symptoms but it did not. They were nice enough to rent me a car in the meantime while they had it. I read online some Transmissions fail even in the warranty time. I'm 99% sure it's the transmission and my warranty runs out the end of November 2025. I really have no choice but to keep driving it until it doesn't drive anymo
