AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

Recently had my wife’s 2019 GMC Yukon serviced here at AAMCO in Hazlet, NJ. The Transmission was the issue and needed to be replaced. The team there was able to get the truck in quickly, diagnosed within 24 hours, and fully repaired and returned back within 72 hours. They explained all the pricing up front, gave me several options and they were very knowledgeable about the issues. The cost was substantial but, being in the service industry and having a pretty good idea of how much the parts/materials cost, their price was fair, and now have a 3 year/50k Mile warranty. Casandra was a pleasure to work with and kept me updated every step of the way.

I always use aamco for my car service. This aamco location in Hazlet NJ is hands down the best experience I've had with all the aamco's I've used over the years. The owner Gary and his wife always give you a personalized experience that is second to none. They explain everything in terms that I understand with out making me feel like a child. Also they gave me options on what needed to be fixed how to pay and different prices for repairs that were need. Having to go to a repair shop is never fun but this shop made it the most enjoyable experience it could be. Thank you.

My 2018 Hyundai Tucson (102K miles) recently started revving high when accelerating over 40 MPH (over 4 RPMs) and making a knocking noise in the rear. Took the car to my usual repair shop. They indicated they could not replicate the issue but recommended changing the spark plugs as that should be done at 100K miles. I was happy they weren’t experiencing the same issues and gave them the OK to do the spark plugs and an oil change. With the diagnostics, my bill was over $500. I picked up the car and within 3 minutes of driving, the car was revving high and making the same knocking noise. Cass and Carmen are the best! Cassandra went above and beyond in trying to assist me with the transmission issue I ran into with my car. They both were amazing at helping me through the process of getting it fixed, walking me through options and everything inbetween..definitely recommend!

I need a transmission work done so I looked at reviews of different transmission shops, and I liked The reviews I saw at Amoco transmission of Hazlet New Jersey They checked out. My truck they told me what it needed. I dropped it off when I walked out the door. I felt that I made the right decision where it's going to be repaired and I was right. The girls at the front desk are the best you don't get service like that anymore anywhere they stand by their work I got my truck back and I'm off and running
