Absolute Auto Repair

This was not my (previous) usual shop, but they are closest to my house so one night, in a pinch, I had my car towed there to have some work done the following day. I've now had a handful of experiences there and I've been quite happy with their work, their customer service, and my experiences there in general. I'll gladly recommend them to friends and plan to be a repeat customer!

My Ranger broke down right outside their shop. I had never noticed it before even though I drive the same route all the time. I was stranded, and they helped me. Fit me in same day between some other jobs they had going. Got me rolling again in 3 hrs (billed me for 2). I'd like to say the price was good and the work honest, but I don't know that for sure cuz I'm not mechanically inclined. I do know, though, that they did right by me. That deserves recognition.

Full transparency, I am writing this review as the daughter of David and Melani, the owners. One of my most compelling childhood memories is seeing my parents pray that their customers would be financially blessed so that getting their vehicles repaired wouldn't burden them or cause them to go without some other need. This was a regular, almost daily occurrence. I heard many behind-closed-doors conversations about keeping prices as fair as possible. I constantly heard them talking so kindly and complimentary about their customers. My dad loves what he does and he's built this business from the ground up. I'm gonna share with you what happened to me, and you decide whether or not you want to trust them with your car, but to be honest, I wouldn't trust them with any vehicle whatsoever. Allow me to explain. I took my car up there because it had a cylinder misfire and was driving horribly. They charged $190 for diagnostic alone! And the cost for the repair was $2,255. I didn't have that kind of money so I paid for the diagnostic and then took it to a mechanic I knew and trusted. They were able to do the repair for only $1006! Here's the area where they did me dirty big time... according to what I found, allegedly, they took two bolts that hold one of my engine mounts out and left them sitting on my windshield base! (This could have caused my engine to be dismount and could have harmed others

DO NOT GO HERE! Lying scammers! Showed me a piece that didn’t even go to my car, thought I was some stupid kid! Treated us like trash because I am from a different state. Horrendous experience with these people. Kept calling me a liar when I wrote down what I wanted done to my car and it wasn’t done. Charged us almost $1000 and could not explain how much the parts were!! We will NEVER be back! It is recorded what was said. I will be adding that. They need to go to court for scamming people. The woman is very rude and the man doesn’t even look at the papers when you write them down. They automatically charge you a “diagnostic fee” of $195 and will not explain what the charges are for. I will add the bill
