The staff at Advance Auto Parts in Bonifay, FL is truly outstanding! I was visiting family from Mobile, AL, and had been struggling with a frustrating issue with my Escalade. It would run perfectly fine one moment, then suddenly refuse to start — completely dead, even the key fob wouldn’t unlock it. I had taken it to three different shops in Mobile and spent money on diagnostics, but no one could figure out the problem. While visiting Bonifay, my car died again. My son took it over to Advance Auto Parts, and the store manager, Alex, personally took the time to check it out. Within minutes, he pinpointed the issue — a bad battery cable connection. Went in to get break pads for my daughters car and holy winter! At first I thought someone forgot to turn the heat on and asked why. Pretty sad with it being it’s 2022 that they would have no working heat in the store with us having record breaking cold temperatures. Employees are having to find their own heating by bringing in personal heaters and seems the district manager, Ray dearrigunaga, doesn’t care, when he can walk in the store and state that it’s the store without any heat. I couldn’t even stand it long enough to order the parts, so I’m not sure how they are able to withstand it working in there. It was colder inside than outside. Went in to ask if they took used motor oil and was told yes. I told them had four 5 quart jugs. None of the employees offered to help carry any, none of them got the door for me, none of them offered to take any when I made it back inside and was visibly struggling with the weight and cumbersome box. The employee who led me to the back was actually whistling and swinging his clip board instead of offering help. My first time in that store will be my last.
