Advance Auto Parts

We purchased a battery from Advance Auto less than a year ago and had issues with the battery. They let us replace the battery under the warranty. Even then, we continued to have issues. Dylan was very helpful when I called to address my concerns. Although, we were not impressed with the product- We were more than impressed with the customer service.

I want to give Ella at the Mechanicsville location near Publix. She performed excellent customer service as she went above and beyond. She was willing to stay and wait for me to arrive 5 mins before closing as I was in need of a new car battery after waiting to get a jump from my roadside assistance. Ella you are awesome!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service was awful. I needed help determining which coolant I needed for my car. I know my car runs specifically Zerex but I wasn't sure which one. The guy gave me Universal Prestone 50/50 mix (which is the bright green) and I asked for zerex alternatives, knowing the color of my coolant is a red/orange color. He said "why did you even ask me for help then if you know what you need". I explained that I don't know what I need, I just know it's not green. He said "I don't know what to tell you, it's Propylene Glycol and water." and I said "I would figure it out" to which he replied in a very snarky manner "good luck with that". So I left the store. It's one thing to assume I don't know much about cars but it's another to be unnecessarily rude

Don’t buy your parts from advance or any other parts dealer in town. You can get it on Amazon for less than a half the price same parts.

I shop this location exclusively and regularly for auto parts and accessories, and sometimes for miscellaneous mechanical parts for my lawn mowers and dirt bikes. I recommend shopping here. It's convenient to my home, always has helpful staff, and is most always stocked with what I need. What isn't stocked is ordered and usually arrives within one day. I choose to continue to shop here because of this location's consistently helpful staff, cleanliness, stocked inventory, convenience to my home, and warranties. Staff has always been polite and helpful to me.
