I needed to return a starter that I had purchased erroneously. Turned out it was just my positive battery cable needed to be cleaned. When I purchased this starter, the associate let me know that I wouldn’t need a receipt if I had to return it because it was under my phone number in the system. I knew that already because I have been dealing with auto parts stores for about 30 years now. And worked at one for five years. But when I went back to return it, the general manager of this location informed me that they have a “new policy” Which meant for me that they could not return my part. I said to him that I knew that was not correct and then asked if he was going to work with me or not?. He then said that he was not going to work with me. Store # 03850 Rob M 9/29/25 14:5_ Upon entering the store I was greeted by both front employees. We were assisted immediately, the man took hubby to pick out his choice of merchandise. While exiting the store the 2 men to said have a wonderful day. I don't care if was required everyone don't offer good customer service. Thanks

My grandson bought a part, they told him it was the right part…well, It was not and they do not have the correct part so told him no refund…really?

They have my wife's name here but I'm the one complaining. I ordered a part, went in to pick it up and the young kids that they had in there working act like they didn't even know what car parts were. Only one of them tried to help me while three other kids stood over and played on the phone. Advance Auto parts in Mount Pleasant has become a joke.

I used to love this store. I was a faithful customer but sad to say I will never be back. They charged me two days ago for a part that they said would be here yesterday. When I got there to pick it up, they ordered the wrong part. Then we were told that the part would be here today. Drove 15 miles again to pick up the part today just to be told it wasn't there. When I asked for a refund they only gave me half of my money back because "that is the maximum refund amount" keep in mind that I never left the store with a part in the 3 trips that I made. Buyer beware of this location. O'Reilly just gained a customer today.
