Advantage Car Rental

When we arrived they tried to give us an older, beat up Toyota Highlander with a service engine light on (see photo). Thankfully they had a nicer, newer Nissan Pathfinder that worked out better. After returning the vehicle I noticed a surprise $135 charge on my credit card. I had to call their office to find out what the charge was for as no receipt or invoice was given. The customer service representative that I spoke with was not very helpful as he just told me to email corporate. The charge turned out to be a cleaning fee as they stated that the vehicle was returned with sand in it. I can understand a cleaning fee, but let people know ahead of time if they're likely to incur one. The entire state of Florida is made of sand after all...

DO NOT RENT A VEHICLE from this place!!! I wish I would have listened to the reviews when I read them! We thought we were getting a good price when we saw it for $85. We got to the location after landing at the Orlando airport. We got to the rental place and they told us since our flight was delayed and we arrived 2 hours late that the price we reserved it for was no longer available and they raised it to almost $250. Not only did they do that, but then they proceeded to say we needed the Sunpass and were very persistent that we needed it or else we would be penalized so we agreed to get it and pay the extra fee per day. After waiting in line we just wanted to get the vehicle and continue on to start our trip. A day into our vacation I received a text stating that there was no record of us

Booked via Expedia & purchased the insurance ahead of time. Upon arrival: Advantage costed me $100 for insurance and Sunpass fees and a 2,000 hold on my card. The car was not the same one I had requested, the car had miles limits (not posted on Expedia) and it had scratches on it so I had to take photos of the car before leaving the facility. The way they treat their customers is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable.

The very worst rental car experience every. Do not rent from Advantage in Orlando. Was charge for their auto insurance when I told them that we already had insurance. After showing them our insurance he didn't say anything. Upon receiving the keys and paperwork, we checked the paperwork and noticed that we had been charged for their insurance, over $200. Immediately went back to the desk to ask it be reversed. He said he would make a note about it and would see what could be done. Upon returning from our trip I emailed Advantage to ask about the fee. Got a email back that all sales were final. In addition, the battery in the key fob started to be very low after a few days. Fortunately I had a batter in my luggage and changed the battery on my own. WILL NEVER AGAIN RENT FROM ADVA

This location selectively discriminates. One weekend its ok to rent, another not presenting same credentials, insurance card, and US state drivers license with perfect 40 year safe driving record. Tries to push insurance coverage but I denied it both times, this time they will only rent with their coverage. I told them to cancel as i dont need the car. My insurance covers full coverage including rentals.
