Alamo Rent A Car

Really great experience at Alamo rental car center at RIC airport Jan 8th. Was renting a larger vehicle to take a group out of town and they were so friendly and helpful, making the whole process a breeze. Will rent from them again.

Rented through Costco - Alamo was easy to rent through them - no long lines and excellent service- -

I booked a pre-paid rental car for collection at Richmond Airport. Paid online, went there and noone could find my booking. Had to wait more than an hour until I got a car, but then the gates of the parking deck, the lady could not let me out, because "something was wrong with my booking". So I had to drive back to the office and wait another fifteen minutes. Finally I could leave, but I was wondering, what went wrong. The car was pretty much okay for my roadtrip. Not anything to complain about. But: When I returned the car a week later, I though everything was fine, until they charged me another 900 Dollars on my credit card for my rental. A rental I already pre-paid. All my mails are ignored. So I can only give one star.

Reserved a sports car 3 months in advance for a weekend to take a quick trip....when I got there was told they had no sports car and that I was upgraded to a genesis but the manager MEL made everything easy and let me know booking through a 3rd party is not the best way to book a rental! They don't know inventory real-time! I gave them a bad review unfairly because of the sports car issue but they made the best of my situation! Mel should get a raise for her customer service expertise!

Rented a Chevrolet Equinox from Alamo at the Richmond, Virginia Airport. I booked the SUV online before making the trip. The pickup at the airport was easy. The agent at the desk was courteous. Employees in the garage were helpful as well. I was quickly on my way to explore the area. Returning the car was simple and I was quickly on my way into the airport to catch my flight. Great rental experience.
