I took my 2000 2500 Silverado in for a diagnosis of a heat issue. They did it plus listed recommended fixes. My heat works and the check engine light is now off. Thermostat gauge is working and it hasn't moved since I bought it 3 years ago. Would highly recommend them.

I went to Alaskan Auto Center and asked Fred if they could install my front leveling struts and rear shocks, new bump stops, and 4 rotors plus pads at 1030 am, he quoted me price wise comparable to the shops that quoted me is was adequate and I was ok with it, and luckily for me he had an opening and scheduled me in right then and there. 4 hours later I received the call that my truck was ready for pick up. I was surprised because the other shops that i called said they might need my truck for 2 days. I picked up my truck and checked out the work him and his crew did, test drove and found something that was rubbing and brought it right back and Fred fixed the rubbing immediately and I was impressed with him and his crew. Sold me a car with a bad transmission. Car didn't last 1 month. Don't trust. Guy said nothing was wrong with the car and I trusted him because we had work done there a few times and I thought he was honest.

I tried calling but the number was down so I drove to the shop instead. There was nowhere to park and when I mentioned that I needed an inspection on my vehicle for any problems, I was told to go somewhere else. I went to the location they specified and was informed that they don't do work on diesel engines. Total waste of time and they can't even maintain a phone system.

Highly recommend! My 2013 Honda Fit check engine light came on while I was in town for an early morning work meeting. Turned out I had a spark plug had worked loose. I started at the dealership with a $13K estimate to replace the head. I called Fred at Alaskan Auto Center and he immediately found me a used engine for $1K. He ended up fixing the problem for ten times less than the dealership, we did not need to replace the engine. Great shop, I will be back if I have any auto problems in ANC again. Thanks Fred!
