Alex's Auto Diagnostic & Smog

Had a check engine light and dropped by for a diagnostic. Alex and his team are very caring, dedicated, and honest. They provided me helpful paperwork and advice to get me to my next destination. I also got to talk to his regulars, many who are mothers, who have been coming for service for decades. Gracias por todo!

The engine light of our car started blinking and we were like middle of nowhere. This service centre was half an hour drive from where we were. Luckily we reached the centre without further issues. They checked and explained everything in detail to us. We were driving to Arizona from Sacramento. The mechanic made sure that we can reach home safely and get the major work done at our regular repair shop. We are very grateful to them for being professional.

I went to this place to do and oil change and than after I left I realized my oil was leaking and I took my car to a mechanic and checked everything and he showed me that they cross threaded the drain plug so I had to drive an hour away to go back to Alex and than I told him I did my last oil change with him and after he did it it started leaking and showed him the receipt he still said that it’s not him than we kept arguing and he said he’s gonna change the threads for the oil pan and he still charged me 50$ and he said he’s gonna fix it and it’s gonna be good so he did whatever he did than after few days it started leaking again .. I didn’t wanna go back there no more I I bought a new oil pan ..there very shady I advice you guys not to go there

I dealt with two young men when I went to get a smog for my vehicle. They were both very professional and friendly. They explained to me what my issues with my vehicle were, in a way I could understand. My overall experience was a good one. I gave four stars, only because I don't care for the location. Other than that, I recommend them to anyone who needs a smog or other services for there vehicle. Again, good prices and great customer service.

Stranded on I5 and called a place to see if anyone could do a repair on my vehicle same day. I imagined it would be hard to find anyone to accept additional work on a Friday afternoon. I was referred to Alex's. After speaking with them and telling them the problem I had of a radiator hose being blown, they agreed they could not only do the work that day but would wait for me to be towed in. The lady who works in the office gave me her personal cell phone so i can send them a picture of my blown hose and they could make sure they could get the parts that day. As the afternoon wore on, I became fearful that they would not stay open because it was taking so long for a tow truck to come get us, and we were still at least 30 miles away with possibly going out of our way by 10 miles on the free
