I dropped off an unusual starter to Jim last week out of a JDM Subaru Sambar kei truck. He said he'd look at it and called me later that day to let me know he couldn't get exact parts but knew of parts that would work in their place. After only a few days he called me up and said it was ready. I picked it up and reinstalled it to my truck and first crank it started with no issues, better than ever before. Thanks so much Jim! ... He even cleaned it up for me!

Great service and crazy fast turn around on my 56 chevy pickup generator, i had it rebuilt and it even got painted along with the service. Jim is super nice and knowledgeable.

Jim and the service AM For offered surpassed all expectations. Jim is very knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to rebuild the starter for my Kubota tractor when I was in a pinch. My machine works great now and I am a customer for life for any starter / alternator needs.

AM-FOR rebuilt my Alvis alternator and put my car back on the road. They fixed a very subtle problem - before I sent my alternator to them it worked and then it didn't work, a tough puzzle which my local shop couldn't diagnose. AM-FOR figured it out. Clearly they know their stuff! They turned my alternator around very quickly (under a week), and they were very pleasant to deal with. I thought the price was quite reasonable. I would highly recommend this shop. Expertise like this can be hard to find.
