American Pride Automotive (Williamsburg)

Picture it...Christmas Eve, late afternoon, two weary travelers find themselves in a tight spot in Williamsburg. Car wash did something to the brush guard of the VW Passat. At first I thought it was a walker from an elder person from the crosswalk, but thankfully it was not. Back to the drama...constant scraping noise when driving. No tools, no way to get under the car to triage, but thankfully there was room at the American Pride Automotive! One quick call and was told to bring in the VW. Car dropped, impeccable waiting area, staff was beyond amazing, and less than 15 minutes the VW was as good as new. Just needed a bolt to be attached and we were good to go. They did not charge us! Talking about great customer service and putting value of the customer over the price of a bolt and 15 minu

Don't get your state inspections done here. They're nothing but a way to try and sell you services. Recently had one done here and they tried to selling me several different services that I "really need to take care of as soon as possible" (their words) but nothing was mentioned about brakes. Two months later my brake light started intermittently flashing and I found the master cylinder was low on fluid (but not leaking). Seems to me low brake fluid would be an obvious issue on a safety inspection. If they spent as much time looking for actual safety issues as they spend looking for things they can chrage you for it wouldn't be so bad but I won't be taking my car back there.

Staff is very friendly, prompt and thorough. I love the Grinchmas decorations and meeting the Who's. They were able to get me an appointment the next day and solved my car problems same day.

American Pride always treats me right. They take wonderful care of my vehicle and never push their recommendations for other services if I mention affordability in the moment; instead, they'll let me know the best timeline to work towards to save up and possibly get those services done. Their patience in explaining everything to me on a level I understand combined with their integrity is why I will always come out of my way to see them when they're no longer right over the train tracks from me. Today's visit was one for the books, though, and I couldn't not leave a review (with no prompting necessary). I walked in and was immediately greeted with stunningly simplistic decorations that didn't make me upset they were out before Thanksgiving passed. The smart/strategic placement, the sha

I cannot say enough good things about this auto service! The customer service from Anthony, Kaylee, and the techs was truly exceptional. We drove in from out of town during our Christmas vacation and discovered our battery was dead. We were sure our trip would be ruined, but they were so kind, quick, and helpful. The techs worked efficiently to get us back up and running in no time. We’re incredibly grateful for their amazing service!
