I took my car to America’s Choice Automotive in January 2026 for a routine oil change and inspection. It was discovered that I had a major oil leak coming from inside the motor (the gaskets had become hard and breakable and the engine cover had become warped). I had not seen oil on my driveway, but it was being spurt out from the motor down low where I wouldn’t normally be looking. That oil was sitting on parts that are close to the exhaust, and the oil could have caught on fire! In addition to this, four bushings needed to be replaced. They were falling apart! One of the tire arms was bent and needed to be replaced as well. My car had been making some noises for a long time. Almost all of the sounds have stopped happening. My car feels much more solid. They are friendly, but that’s meaningless. They are low level inexperienced technicians. They are incompetent in troubleshooting. They are NOT Nissan specialists! If your car requires troubleshooting, don’t come here! My Infiniti QX had a cold start problem – hard to ignite when engine is cold. I visited the shop because they claim being Nissan specialists on their website. I warned them at the very beginning that what I concerned the most was the shop not able to diagnose correctly and “repair” the wrong thing. The said they would be able to pin point the problem and repair it. A day later they told me that the crank sensor failed and explained to me why the failure caused the ignition problem. By far and away the best shop I've had to use in Houston. They are reasonable, honest, friendly, and great sense of humor. They've done a few jobs that I just couldn't figure out on my own. I had a fuse that kept popping and I brought it to another shop, it cost me $250, the fuse popped again, brought it to America's Choice, $60. They have since helped me with a couple other jobs that had me stumped and didn't have time to tinker with, they got me right and my little CLK is happier than ever. Customer for life. I am very disappointed in this place. I went there for a free AC check, knowing that nothing is ever free. At first, I tried to make an appointment and was told that there was no need to make an appointment as long as I showed up when they opened at 8 a.m. I would be the first one served. I showed up at 7:45 a.m. and waited until they opened up their doors and checked in. By 8:15 they had not come and got my car yet. I then watched as a lady pulled in behind me and walked inside. 15 minutes later, they came out and got her car first, so I went inside and asked why am I not being the first one being brought back to the back when I was the first one there.
