Astleford International Trucks

Giving 1 star. Dealership is the prime example of “we don’t care you or your problem if we don’t make money”. Tried to get a part number for a turbo because I’m 2 states away and no international dealership was open at 9pm. They don’t give out part numbers because they don’t want you to buy from anywhere else or shop options.

I am writing this review to warn other truck owners and drivers about my experience with Astleford International Trucks. We brought our truck in due to a beeping alert, a check engine light, and another warning light. Initially, we were quoted around $230 for a diagnostic, which later ballooned to over $700 with no clear explanation. We were told the truck needed a costly DPF/DEF-related repair, including an overnight “burn/bake cleaning process” and a sensor replacement. They quoted us $4,134.09 for this repair, which was far above market rates. Another major issue was that they claimed they could not force a regen on the truck because they “needed a code.” However, any other shop we visited was able to perform a regen without any issue. We recently brought our truck to Astleford International Trucks and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite being a dealership, they were unable to perform a forced regen on our truck, claiming they needed a special code. As a result, they did not perform the regen at all, yet we were still charged over $700 just for the diagnosis. Additionally, the diagnosis they provided was incorrect. We took the truck elsewhere and received a completely different and accurate diagnosis, which resolved the issue for just a couple of hundred dollars—nowhere near the $4,000 they quoted us. We recently brought our truck to Astleford International Trucks and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. In our view, this business should not be operating. They are not transparent and they take advantage of customers, effectively robbing people through shifting prices and incorrect diagnostics. If I could give them zero stars, I would. They should be out of business.

We had a great experience with Astleford truck rental service. The truck was clean, well-maintained, and ready to go when we arrived. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the entire process quick and easy. Pricing was fair with no hidden fees, and the return process was just as smooth.
