Auto Service Center-Northport

I’ve been bringing my cars to Derick and Peter for over 15 years. They are the most honest, most reliable and thorough mechanics in the area. They always call before doing the work to make sure I approve of the work being done. They also let me know what work I will need for future visits so that I’m prepared for upcoming costs. There have been times where I had to stop in with a problem and they immediately resolve the issue (fix a flat, put air in a tire, reset a warning light, etc). Nothing less than a 5 star rating for Auto Service Center Northport!

Not sure why all the good reviews, I’ve been living in Northport for years and this is by far the worst mechanic I’ve ever been to. They are easily the most expensive and they are not honest. They’ve told me I’ve needed thousands of dollars of work but when I bring it other mechanics they say I do not. It’s obvious they try to take advantage of people who might not be as knowledgeable in cars. Plus the work is always done slowly, my car was just there for a week and they didn’t even START working on it or call me for an estimate. I brought it to another mechanic in the area, and now it’s gonna be done by the end of the day. Save yourself the time and money, don’t come here. All other shops in area much more honest.

I’ve been going to Derrick and Peter for Over 12 years. Most honest mechanics you’ll meet and they do great work. They take the time to make sure you understand everything that’s going on your vehicle and give highly valuable consulting that’s saved me tons and tons of money. I HIGHLY recommend this spot to everyone!

I'm a relatively new customer at auto service center but they've definitely lived up to their reputation already. They're fair, honest, and do what's best for the customer. I'll be going here for a long time no doubt. Highly recommended.

Peter and Derek are excellent mechanics, racing enthusiasts in their spare time, the type to enjoy studying automotive technical documentation when relaxing, friendly, approachable, honest and experienced. Careful, meticulous mechanics, they are reliable and trustworthy over they years and with many various repairs on several makes and models. They are the only ones I would trust to work on my 2004 Toyota Celica GT. And that is saying more than any other words can. Aug 2019 Update: I agree with the other reviewer, Doug, who wrote "...honest, smart and....The guys have really taken the worry out of getting our cars serviced." His words perfectly describe this shop and Peter and Derek. Especially, how they have "taken the worry out" of servicing.
