Kevin is a great mechanic. I had a power steering problem that I thought required an expensive steering rack replacement. Based on my description, he thought it was plausible and priced out a replacement. But he did a thorough diagnosis and it turned out to be a partially seized u-joint. He fixed the problem that saved me half of what I would have paid otherwise. Auto specialties is an honest place that does great work at reasonable prices.

I’ve been living in Newington for a while now, but have yet to find a reliable mechanic since I moved to the area. I have been here twice now. Both times, I didn’t have an appointment but was provided prompt and professional service. Beyond that, I appreciate how thorough they are and how they try to do the right thing versus just trying to charge for random things that may not be as critical to your car. I’m also impressed by how quickly they were able to fix my car - in 1 day. I highly suggest you support this small business over some of the franchised shops in the area.
