Avenue 81 Assisted & Independent Living

I am very pleased with my decision to move to Avenue 81. The staff and residents are welcoming, and the food is excellent. The building is well-maintained, and maintenance requests are handled promptly. Transportation is available for excursions, and there are many activities to choose from, allowing me to be as social as I wish. Weekend movies in the theatre and weekly Happy Hours in the Pub are highlights. Did I mention the excellent food? I encourage you to schedule a tour to discover the many additional amenities available.

Settling our mother into Avenue 81 has been a seamless process. She is meeting new people and making friends. The staff are responsive to her maintenance requests and the meal staff are supportive of her food choices.

We have tremendous confidence in Nick and his team at Avenue 81. We moved Dad after a tour of the entire community and it has been a very good experience. We encourage other families to give their loved one a tour and stay for lunch to see if the Avenue 81 Community is a fit.

Very nice facility - currently have two family members living there in assisted living, one on in-home hospice within the Avenue 81 facility. Staff is responsive and friendly. My complaint is the seeming complacency/lack of communication around infectious illnesses circulating throughout the facility. There were multiple documented cases of Covid in December 2024 and currently, multiple known cases of Norovirus that have spread within and outside the facility to multiple visitors yet there is no communication. Hoping this is taken more seriously for residents and visitors as it's not ideal to be sick and unable to visit for 1-2 weeks when you have a parent on hospice, not to mention downright dangerous for some of the residents.

We are incredibly satisfied with Avenue 81. My 89 year old mom moved here from another senior residence and Joleen, Karly, Steve and the entire staff--including the amazing chef Nick--have been 100% attentive, professional, accommodating (especially in light of--and despite--covid). My mom and my siblings and all 12 of her grandchildren could not be happier! The residence is beautiful with fun and first rate gathering spaces, including a pub, theater (where she can watch Mass even!), art room, card room, work-out room , lobby, library, not to mention her gorgeous apartment. But the luxury accommodations are nothing compared to the loving and caring staff. We are so happy she moved here!
