Not that Avis care about bad reviews, but here’s one more and maybe there’s a slight chance that someone does something. We had a reservation and I was traveling with my family of 5 + luggage. They didn’t have the car I reserved to fit us all. First they offered 2 cars, when I finally accepted it they didn’t honored. Finally when I challenged the manager he cancelled our booking because he didn’t like to be bothered and wanted to exercise his “small power”. So sad! Ill prepared employees being managed by a mean and bad person, this Jeremiah. Finally had to be offended with bad words by them

Update: After my initial review, the company contacted me and resolved the issue with my deposit. The refund was processed and the situation was handled. The process took longer than expected, but to be fair, they did end up fixing the problem. Credit where credit is due. Thank you. ‐------------------------------------------------------------- I had a very disappointing experience with Avis. After returning the rental car in the same condition as when I picked it up, they never refunded my security deposit. It has been weeks and despite multiple attempts to contact them, they keep coming up with different excuses to avoid returning the money. This is extremely frustrating and feels very dishonest. I followed all the rules of the rental agreement and there was no valid reason to keep t

Don't do it. I hired a car from Avis, via Booking.com. When I arrived to collect, I was forced to accept lesser car as I couldn't get a 'premium SUV' on a debit card (there was no mention of this when I booked online, paying in full on a debit card). Fine, whatever. I had a wife and three kids straight off a long flight so didn't have the strength to argue, and this seemed just as likely to be Booking.com's fault. My issue is with the fact that I returned the car, in immaculate condition and full to the brim with fuel, back in late November, and I've since been charged direct by AVIS, not once but twice, for random sums with no notice whatsoever. I have no idea what these charges are for??? EDIT: I have just spoken directly with AVIS' billing department and I now understand they ha

I had a very disappointing experience with Avis/Budget at Austin Airport and strongly advise others to be cautious. Around 7:22 PM, the sales representative forced me to take an upgraded car, even though there were clearly regular cars available in the lot. I explicitly declined the upgrade, but the agent insisted and would not release a standard vehicle. I also clearly stated my drop-off location and time: next day noon in Atlanta. Despite this, the agent incorrectly entered the drop-off time as 5:00 AM, which is physically impossible to reach from Austin under normal driving conditions. This error was made without my consent or confirmation. Because of this unrealistic drop-off setup, I had no choice but to return the car in the Dallas area, which is much closer and reasonable. Avis / Budget car rental is the worst rental company on the planet. You cannot find worse experience than them. Every negative comment about Avis is valid, no matter where you are. Expected to wait at least an hour no matter, because of they short staff. When I was at Austin Airport, for 15 min there is no one at the Avis preferred desk, despite a line of customer pile up. Don't expect to get the car you want, they will overbooking everytime and everywhere, this has been the issue 10 years ago. It doesn't matter you reserved a van, truck, premium, you will not get what you want. In Austin, all they got are electrics, and no one want electric and compat. Because of the understaff, the car I got is not cleaned nor refueled. When I point out that the fuel tank is not full, the staff said just
