Avis Car Rental

Extremely happy with our car rental! I think this was definitely an upgrade, but this Ford Expedition Platinum was so great for our trip that everyone in the family wants to buy one now. Very comfortable, AMAZING gas mileage (better than my 4dr sedan at home), tons of room, fully loaded with all the features, and it handled great in Yellowstone and in the snow. I always rent from Avis because of my company, and I'm very glad this is who they use - and will pass this along to corporate as well. Thank you Avis! Our family had a blast!

I recently rented a vehicle from the AVIS location at Bozeman Airport and encountered some issues that made the experience less than ideal. Upon picking up the vehicle, I noticed some preexisting damages — including a dent on the side door and damage to the front bumper. However, none of these issues were marked on the rental agreement at the time of pickup. More concerningly, there was no walk-through inspection with an AVIS representative, which is typically expected during a car rental process. Instead, I was asked to sign and initial the condition report before I even saw the vehicle or received the keys — which, I later learned, is the standard local practice at this branch. Do not rent from Avis at the Bozeman Airport if you value your safety and time. We were given two different vehicles, and both had leaking tires. The first car had low tire pressure within minutes of leaving the airport. When we brought it back, the staff literally said, “It happens,” and showed no concern at all. The second car had the same issue the next day when we were already in Yellowstone. We had to refill the tire every single day while driving through Yellowstone and the Tetons. We spent our vacation constantly worried about a blowout on remote roads. The gas/service station attendants in Yellowstone helped us more than Avis did. I spent over an hour trying to get customer service to understand that we were in a remote area and could not go to another location 50 miles away. Som

Extremely disappointing experience - This experience renting with Avis was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Since February 2026 we have been forced to return the vehicle four seperate times due to mechanical issues. Each time we were assured the problem had been resolved, yet the vehicles continued to have problems. As a result, we spent over 8 hours of our holiday driving back and forth to Avis locations, in addition to multiple hours of phone calls trying to get the situation sorted. Travelling with a toddler, this was not just inconvenient- it completely disrupted our trip. What was most disappointing was the lack of accountability and initiative from staff. We were repeatedly passed between representatives with no one taking ownership of the issue or proactively trying to

this man is one of the worst customer agents around. he is extremely rude, told me that asking for a MT license plate is not high on his priority list, and I should be thankful for what I get. I have rented from this location multiple times over the past 4 years and this man is the worst, I will wait for someone else purposely in line before even approaching the counter if he is around, he flat out calls me a liar, tells me things I cant upgrade when I ALWAYS can, and talks in a very rude demeanor and undermines the customers. THE WORST!
