Avis Car Rental

HORRIBLE!!!!! Police pulled me over and Handcuffed me and put me in the back of the cop car and towed my rental car due to “registration/insurance revoked” when my payments and everything were up to date. Very traumatizing experience!!! When I went to the Main Street location they basically told me there was nothing they can do and the police report shows my license was suspended (???) and then they ran my license and it showed that it is NOT suspended. I went to the DMV to get a physical copy which also shows my license is valid and when I call Avis now they’re asking me to get a police report from Tonawanda and when I called them the automated service is telling me that may take an additional 7-10 business days and I’d have to pay a fee. Avis has not helped me one bit and has offered 0

Very nice vehicle, we got a Kia telluride. Drove smooth, very touchy but it’s new so it’ll have that. We got to our spot 400+ miles away, we found a pre roll (marajuana) in the car as well as used lipgloss, and a mini tractor eraser from a child, some price tags, and a fully spilt milkshake in the back seats. We didn’t have a milkshake, it was dried. I guess they don’t clean their vehicles very thoroughly. At first we tried getting a different car, but it had a huge crack in the windshield going all the way down it. Anyways, Love the Kia but please clean your cars better. Kids could’ve gotten into that marajuana.

Did not have the car I reserved months in advance. Did not bother to email me about it or make it right by checking for availability with other branches. Instead gave me a smaller car which on top of everything wreaked of cigarette smoke. Customer service is useless, sounded like it is outsourced to clueless reps who only reply to you with pre-scripted answers. Bottom line, stay away.

A person rented car from this company, hit me, drove off, abandoned rental a block away, and discovered by bfd. I've filed claim and #Avis is dragging their feet in repairing my vehicle, not returning my calls, employees at Sedgwick not returning my calls for over a week (always a msg saying they're out of office - Amy/Allison and their supervisor). I highly recommend all military, veterans and families not use Avis Budget. Avis doesn't seem to be aware that Sedgwick is negligent in resolving property damage to my car from hit/run accident on 6/20/20 involving Avis rental car. Sedgwick representative (April/Mike) are withholding repairs to my car until medical claim is completed. We had a great experience here - I called in to see if we could pick up our car an hour or more early and Bruce was super helpful on the phone and in person when we saw him.
