BEWARE! I rented a car to go from Madison WI and dropped off at this location 1 day trip with wife and small dog. When I dropped the car off they didn’t even look inside and seen my wife holding the dog, immediately said “that’s gonna be a problem” when I asked what he replied “the dog in the car! I’m gonna have to charge you an additional $250 cleaning fee for the dog hair” Continued to tell me that the car was sold and headed to its owner which needed to be in immaculate condition. Mind you there was almost no dog hair in the car (see attached pictures). I’ve rented at least 100 cars in my lifetime and brought them back very dirty and never had an issue because they are to clean the cars before renting them back out. I have been renting with Avis consistently for the last 8 years, I can honestly say this location was the worst experience. Employee behind the counter was very rude a dismissive, totally wasted my time and once I asked for his name so I could make a complaint to management he refused and he threatened to physically throw me out of the store, and in-fact called 911 claimed I was being aggressive. Once police arrived I was asked to leave and which I was already planning on doing so. But I would strongly urge you to stay clear of this establishment. You might get treated like a criminal.😑

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I’ve rented from Avis many times before, but my experience at the Burnsville location was by far the worst. I came in with a reservation through Avis for Uber, and the guy at the front desk immediately told me they don’t take debit cards for Uber rentals only credit cards. That’s a lie. I told him I’ve rented plenty of times using my debit card, and he said, “This is a licensee location, so Avis policies don’t apply here.” Basically, he makes up his own rules.
