Avis Car Rental

This is one of the nicest Avis rental locations I have seen. The counter on the second floor was full of neon lights, so pretty. They had another counter at the pick up zone. The rental building is separate from the terminal. I had to take the free Sky Train to get to the rental building. My car was ready for pick up ahead of time. I received the confirmation in my email. I also received an express exit lane code in text. Upon arrival at my designated spot, found the Kia fully clean, in excellent overall condition both interior and exterior. I drove the about an hour away from airport and drove back without any issues. Returning the car was easy well. Avis return entrance was clearly marked in street. Upon arriving in return zone, an associate told me to leave the car with keys inside. T

I wanted to take a week to write my review about my 1st time experience in Atlanta and using Avis as a rental car service . We arrived on time from Philadelphia before 8 am but there was 70 + people in line. I stood in line so long my 9 am pick up time had to be pushed back to 10. I saw an email that there wasn't going to be anymore cars and couldn't believe it ! I immediately Called Avis customer service and fot a representative to try and help me. I explained being in line would make me superseded my pick up time and would I be charged . She basically extended my date till the 18th for return and not knowing she charged me 647!! It wasnt until Joy the manager announced to everyone in line that there wasn't anymore cars and she apologized. I waited 2 hours in line and ironically Joy

I've never received a car in this sort of state before. Utterly filthy and damaged. After waiting the better part of an hour for my rental with a toddler in tow. My wife and I loaded up our Chrysler Pacifica in a dark, barely lit garage. Under those conditions the vehicle looked fine, I noticed a little dirt in the trunk but didn't think much of it. The vehicle also had a ticket on the dash that stated it had been cleaned and sanitized. Once we left the facility and started our 96 mile drive to get to a graduate event on time, we noticed the vehicle was a lot dirtier than I realized. Dried foods and liquids were all over. Disgusting. First you stand in line wasting half your trip time because they have a total of 3 people working. Gets better. Those 3 are split between working Avis customers and Payless customers. After 40 mins in line I get my car. If I hadn't asked a question I would have thought the agent was mute. Go out to the car and start searching for previous damage. I couldn't make it off the driver's side taking pictures of all the scratches and dings. Gave up. I want different car. So here I am the line has grown longer and only 1 agent physically working the line. There is another lady who has left who I heard earlier telling Josh to go lunch because she was getting off soon. Me, my husband and 3 children flew into Atlanta on 2/14/26 expecting to be able to go right over to Avis and pick up our rental car at 12pm since had made the reservation weeks in advance. We had reserved a luxury full size SUV to be able to fit all of us and our luggage and we were going to my mother’s funeral so we wanted to have rental car that looked nice. 1st issue- we get to the counter and are told they do not have the type of SUV we reserved, but they did have other vehicles that we could get. 2nd issue- Rather than one of their employees go and find us a different rental, they sent my husband out into the parking garage on a scavenger hunt to look at a list of rental cars by space number to see which rental would work for us.
