Avis Car Rental

Horrible customer service by Journey & Alex(manager) I had a reservation for 9am I show up at 9:45 am. Car wasn’t ready, it was being “washed”. Right from the start the start she had an attitude, I should’ve known by the way she was speaking to the customer on the phone( the car he rented broke down and they where asking him to uber to the Covina location, from Ontario) anyways the car wasn’t washed it was filthy from the outside, it was never washed. I returned the car and I was “late” by 30 min she claimed I checked the car out @ 9:57am I waited there and made a yelp review where I took a pic of Avis around 10:07am I didn’t leave the location till 10:30 am. So she lied obviously about the check in and wanted to charge me a whole day which is fine but I’m taking the car with me. She said

There was a lot of things that went wrong with my experience with Avis. The first thing was before I even got the car. After I placed my reservation online, I called the Avis support to confirm my reservation. My first question was answered just fine but when follow up question of, “Is there anyway I can ensure a Kia Soul?” All the representative had to say was no but she started to raise her voice at me. After getting the car, I noticed that it needed oil change cause it said it on the dash. The car also smelled like it was wet and in the process of drying. That’s the best I could describe the smell. The wipers also needed to be replaced because I needed them but the wipers were smearing. I thought using the wiper fluid would help but no, it was empty. The last big thing is the gas. When

Customer service was ok, however the car we rented had expired tags and no new registration in the glove box. We had to drive to a separate location that had the registration and tags. Also the tire pressure light constant on during the trip and we had to pull over quite a few times just to find out the tires were fine.

zero issues, rental was seamless, and fast. Didn’t have the car rented but the replacement was just fine

Edit: Reached out to the email provided by Avis and no response was provided. Young man on the front desk helping me had extremely unprofessional attitude during my rental process openly stating how ‘difficult’ I was being. I wanted to add my direct family as additional drivers (which has no added cost in California) and he refused to show me the policy claiming that it only applied to Costco members. When I tried showing him corporate policy he refused to acknowledge it and showed me a google search AI summary instead as his policy.
