Avis Car Rental

Paine field Avis is so easy to pickup and return at! A couple customers didn’t know where to go but they have a LARGE Avis and budget return sign that directs them to the exact lot. Inside the lot is another sign you park behind (same corner as when you pickup) leave the parking ticket in the car and just drop the keys in the Dropbox at the end of the black fence on your way into the parking lot. some flights are very busy and there can be a line but the employees work through it very efficiently. Pay attention when booking- there’s 2 locations in Everett. One is located at the airport itself and the other one on hwy 99. Book the 99 location if you’re not flying in to save yourself airport taxes. Highly recommend booking with Avis/ budget!

Return your Avis rental at the airport! This also avoids having to take the shuttle van from the office to the airport or risk the office being closed. I had the unfortunate experience to find the office closed from 4-7 with a flight at 8pm. I attempted to return the car at 5pm. I waited in the front of a chained driveway after calling Avis and being told if I left the car I would get charged. I waited until 6:45 and found this other hidden alternative to return the car. Note: there is no sign at the rental office that directs the ability to return the car to the airport.

I had a very negative experience with this Avis location. I booked through Uber, and the total was supposed to be about $90 for two days (+insurance). They charged me $325. They presented me with a rental agreement showing a much higher total amount than what was initially discussed. I questioned the extra charges, but the manager avoided answering my questions, looked away, and only repeated “this is the total amount.” I clearly stated that I do not agree with these charges and told them to cancel the rental, then I left without signing anything. Shortly after, I received an email confirmation saying that my rental had been processed — even though I never signed the agreement. I immediately returned to the location to resolve the issue. Not sure why people have issues when returning vehicles. They told me where to go when I picked it up and there was a sign on the counter with the same info. Convenient to have rentals at Paine Field and everyone I’ve worked with there is always friendly.

If it wasn’t for Ryan ultimately working it out to get us into a vehicle that would work for us, I would have rated this experience much lower. Upon arrival to the rental counter, we overheard the person in front of us getting the last mini van they had. This was surprising to us because we had reserved a mini van to specifically fit our large family and the belongings. The remaining cars were not going to work for us, which we were not sure what we were going to have to do next. Thankfully, the lady who was renting the mini van agreed to allow us to take that vehicle and she would take a different one.
