Avis Car Rental

I don’t understand how I prepaid for a car weeks in advance to be available by noon on my departure day, and yet no car was available on the day of my rental. That’s a bad business model if you ask me. The Avis employee called me the day of my scheduled pick up to tell me no car was available but that it was possible one could be available at noon. Because my schedule was time sensitive, I told him I had to have a car by noon. Instead of being proactive to make that happen by contacting another location, the employee told me I should call. I told him it wasn’t my fault no car was available and that he should call. He conceded, but when I called back a short while later, he had never gotten around to calling. So, I called the Madison location. They too didn’t have any cars. Therefore, given

I got dropped off at 2:50pm for a 3:00pm reservation. There was a note on the door that said they were on lunch break and to call a number for immediate assistance. It took me to the national customer service line, who told me the only option was to wait it out. After waiting over an hour, and three calls to the national customer service center, I cancelled the reservation and had to take an Uber to another rental provider. Avoid this place at all costs

I saw all the bad reviews and almost went somewhere else. I sure am glad I didn't. I got a nice Chevrolet Denali for half the price the other guys wanted. I can't remember the guy's name but he showed up on time and got me out of there and under 5 minutes. This will be my go-to spot when I need a rental for now on.

Vehicle in horrible condition. Tires are bald, vehicle not washed... trashed on the inside. Made a reservation over a month ago and this is how I get the vehicle? Rear tire is flat also... that's fun. If I ran my business like this I'd be out of business......

Went to turn in my car, they open at 9, I was there at 9:05 and there was another customer going in and out of the door. Went inside and there was a note saying that the employee was cleaning a car and had a phone number to call for immediate assistance, no big deal. Then the employee comes in and tells me I should not be in the building because the sign was flipped to closed…maybe the building should be secured. If you hate your job, do something different.
