Avis Car Rental

Paid $396 January 13th for January 12th-19th with the 19th being the return date. I returned 17th late, so should be refunded $63. Instead of refunding, they charged me $332. So I double paid for the same week. These two guys have zero clue what they’re doing. This is theft and now I got to go complain to Avis to get my refund. Not the first time Avis has done this to me. Huge pain, thanks a lot.

Staff are not welcoming or very friendly. I received a car that was dirty inside and out and told I had to return it clean on the inside or I would be charged a cleaning fee.. wow! After renting cars for decades I have never been spoken to in that manner. Better staff training on etiquette will keep your customers coming back.

Sincerely disappointed with Avis as a company and their choices in management/franchisees. Yesterday in to today has been nothing short of hell on earth dealing with Avis and their shortcomings. Tony here at the Avis in Huntington seemed as if he had no time to even appease my so called “courtesy swap” that was being provided to me after speaking with corporate. I’m sure because my money wasn’t originally spent in this location and at another Avis Tony wasn’t too concerned with my issues or wellbeing because they don’t contribute to his sales. Although I’m sure their business is sales driven there is still a touch of hospitality needed when working in CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am writing this review to advise you NOT TO RENT FROM THIS PLACE, I RENTED A CAR FROM THEM FOR 4 WEEKS STRAIGHT THEY PROCEEDED TO NOT CHARGE MY CARD WHEN FUNDS WERE AVAILABLE FOR THE RENTAL AND THEN CONTINUED TO CHARGE ME A REPO FEE FOR A CAR I RETURNED MYSELF WELL BEFORE THE DATE THE CAR WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RETURNED. I WAS CHARGED 1700$ FOR A REPO WHEN I RETURNED THE CAR MYSELF THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO RENT A CAR AT AN AFFORDABLE RATE. THEY ARE REFUSING TO REFUND ME MY MONEY I HAVE PROOF THAT CAR WAS RETURNED AND THAT I ENTERED THE LOCATION PRIOR TO DROPPING THE CAR OFF TO MAKE SURE THEY PULL PAYMENT FROM MY CARD. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. THIS IS FRAUD!

I came to Avis in Huntington recently to pick up a car for uber. A Bald guy with glasses insisted that they only do EV cars and the 2023 Bolt was the only one they had, even though thats not what I reserved to pick up. He almost let me leave the lot with a flat tire without checking the car. I had another flat I wanted him to check but he seemed as if he didnt care about his job moving frantically so I left to fix it myself. 3 days later the car stopped charging now I have to switch out my car. Not to mention the leftover dorito chips and wrappers inbetween the seats. If I had to give this place a rating out of 10 it would be negative a million
