I will never rent from this Avis location at Garage again after being charged unfairly — twice. The first time I rented a car, there was an obvious mark on the vehicle window before I even left the lot. I took photos and videos with timestamps as evidence, yet I was still charged a $50 cleaning fee after returning the car. When I contacted customer service to dispute it, the local staff simply closed my case and said they could do nothing, despite the clear proof. Completely unreasonable. After more than a year, I decided to give this location another chance — and regretted it immediately. No one informed me that parking on the first floor would incur additional fees, and there was no clear signage. I had a great experience with Avis at this location. The service was smooth, efficient, and truly customer-focused. The location itself is very convenient, making pickup and drop-off stress-free. A special shout-out to Jimmy and Baba — they were absolutely amazing! Friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. They made the experience even better with their positive attitude and top-notch service. Highly recommend this Avis location. I’ll definitely be renting from here again!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Avis in Jersey City, especially because of Sajjad Ali. While I was pregnant, I was frequently renting cars to get to my doctor’s appointments outside of town, and Sajjad consistently went above and beyond to make the process easy and stress-free. He always made sure there was a car available on the first floor so I wouldn’t have to deal with stairs or extra walking late in pregnancy which was a small detail that meant so much. Most memorably, I went into labor at my 37-week appointment and suddenly couldn’t return the car as planned. Sajjad handled everything with complete understanding and flexibility, which was the last thing I needed to worry about in that moment. Amazing rental service and process. Rented a Toyota Grand Highlander for 8 days and it was amazing. Inside of the car was clean and tidy and the process for getting the car was swift and easy. I don't understand the bad reviews people put on here but in my experience the staff here is amazing and would recommend to others.
