I reserved a car and was supposed to pick it up at 1:30 I arrived at 1:37 and the car was rented. I had to pay extra for an upgrade. I will say overall it was a good experience. Btw it was at an location in Columbus GA. Great customer service.
Our Thanksgiving trip got ruined when avis decided they were out of cars and didn't notify us until the day before when my boyfriend was at work (we obviously didnt get the message). We had it reserved TWO WEEKS in advance with the guarantee we'd be able to pick it up and yet nothing. No help trying to find us another service, no apologies, nothing. Either book a car months in advance or don't bother spending your money here.
They were very friendly and respectful and I appreciate how clean and nice the cars were. I would be more than willing to come back and rent more cars and to invite my friends and family to Use them out as well. Thank you, Mary Folds
I Was charged an extra $450 for a cleaning fee a week after dropping the car off for “excessive dirt” in the car .. absolute complete scam. Literally something that can be cleaned with a vacuum in under 5 min ! Not to mention it was a 3 week rental I paid over $1200 for.Every car that is returned is cleaned by Avis! And they charged me $450 for it!? I was completely scammed and I’ll be disputing this with my credit card company and I will pursue legal action if I have too .. The pictures are almost hysterical that they sent me of the interior of the vehicle. Unreal. SCAM that this company is running.
Do yourself a favor and rent from another company. My last two experiences with Avis have been a nightmare and I will never use them again. Last car I rented would not start and they charged me to get the car started. Vehicle had a check engine light on within a few minutes of driving it off the lot. Called Avis and they said they would check out the vehicle when I returned it. A lot of good that did me. No one at the company seems to have any interest in customer service. They will never get my business again.
