Avis Car Rental

Horrible experience. Warning lights were on when we got the car and we were told to ignore them. Eventually the brakes gave out as we approached a stop sign and we rolled through an intersection - just dumb luck that we weren’t hit. All the Avis was willing to do was tell us to drive (!) the car to the closest open location and they would replace the car.

Customer service at this location was great, especially given the fact that the only person available to help, Donald is dealing with angry rude customers dropping off their rentals. What was most disappointing to me was the vehicle I was expecting was a roomy, clean Toyota Camry or similar & instead I received a 2023 Chevy Malibu Smaller then my personal Toyota vehicle. The absolute worst part for me was this vehicle was marked dog hair on the window, & smelled of cigarettes. The outside of the car was very scratched up as well as the inside having scratches & or dirty marks on the seats. My husband had an Allergic reaction to the pet hair or cigarette smell as well. I did bring the condition of the vehicle to the attention of Donald the only person working at the time, he promptly vacuum

All parts of my experience were great here. From making the booking, to calling down immediately after and getting answers to my questions, accomodating a special request, and subsequently offering me an upgrade when I finally arrived. If I recall, the gentleman on the phone was Tom, he was very helpful and personable. Car was imaculate. Definitely enjoyed my rental from here and will do it again on my next visit.

Horrible car rental ever there is only one person working here even though prices are cheap don’t purchase from here. I just got a car rental from them car is super dirty and has scratches around the car I took photos just in case but I won’t rent from here next time horrible experience and customer service the guy I felt was rushing I had to call to make sure the car rental details are as I needed . Rented a car for two months from this location. Was charged for one month after the first month was completed and told the second month would be charged at the end of the second month upon return. Instead, upon return I was charged for two months so now have been overcharged by over $1000. Called to remedy and they told me I would be credited within 3-4 weeks. After a month there was no credit so called customer service who acknowledged the mistake and after a hour on the phone told me my credit card would be credited within 3-5 biz days. Still no credit. Beyond frustrated with Avis, this location, and not yet getting my money back. It should not take this long to correct a mistake that they made. I would not recommend renting from here.
