Avis Car Rental

****BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION, PLEASE READ**** From Arrivals, you walk to a new building, very close to where you pick up your luggage. There is plenty of signage directing to the new Rental Car building. There is an AVIS counter, normally there is no one there because the BUDGET rental counter Staff works both AVIS and the BUDGET counter. If you fill up gas yourself for the return of the vehicle, you MUST tell them you don't want the Gas Service Option. They will automatically add this option if you don't tell them. It was added to my rental, where my original reservation did not mention when I first made the reservation. I called AVIS CUSTOMER SERVICE eventually and they credited the amount back to me. Prepaid for my reservation. They had no vehicle there for me. All they said was nothing we can do. And to call customer service, which isn't available 24 hours. So if your issue happens after 8pm, you're out of luck. The manager is useless in helping any situation and could care less. They could have been courteous and called to inform me instead of me of having no vehicles. But they did not. And I ended being stranded at the airport with my children. Don't waste your time renting from here. Have uber on standby

I booked a Yukon Denali with Avis through Priceline. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I was told I did not have a reservation even tho I have a receipt and confirmation number. The lady behind the desk made no attempt to help me at all. She was pretty much calling me a lier and acting like I made up having a reservation there even tho I had proof of payment. She refused to help me find my reservation and refused to help me get into a different vehicle. She almost ruined my family vacation. One of the budget employees spent an hour helping me get into a different full sized SUV. I ended up paying more then I was originally supposed to and haven’t gotten a refund from the first reservation.

Long line for pickup & they had a wait list because the cars were being washed. They offered me a smaller vehicle, which I ended up taking because I didn’t want to be number 6 waiting. I asked for a price reduction which was More than I expected. Car was clean & comfortable. My main complaint was the return. It was co fusing. No one in the parking lot to check in or tell me where to park the vehicle. I finally found a space after circling twice. Went inside & there was an elderly lady alone behind the counter. One sign said have keys & contract. The other said leave your keys in the basket or wait in line. I was 4th in a slow line so asked if I couple leave keys in basket after another man did so. Beware of doing business with this Avis location, especially with the manager Matthew DiGirolamo. I admit I signed the contract not realizing the charge was $20 additional per day for the upgrade. I misunderstood the lovely woman who helped me on the day the I picked up my car, thinking the charge was a total of $20 for the upgrade. I should have looked and I should have asked. However, my frustration at my mistake did not warrant the absolutely outrageous treatment I received from Mr. DiGirolamo. He was condescending and dismissive at best. Mr. DiGirolamo refused to give me the name of his supervisor when I requested it, talked to me as if I was an idiot, and told me he was the person in charge and there was no one else above him I could talk with that would be willing to help me.
