Avis Car Rental

We rented a vehicle here last week for a one day rental. Not only was the staff highly unprofessional. They decided to charge us a $450 cleaning fee. They had a piece of paper taped to the dashboard about the cleaning fees. So, we made sure to run the vehicle through the car wash and vacuum prior to return. Here is a picture of the "dirt" interior in which they are trying to warrant a $450 charge. No animals were near the vehicle, nor was there any smoking. Do not rent a vehicle at this location. Edit* After calling their corporate office, all fees were waived. The customer service representative stated that they have been having issues with this specific office.

Poor quality of car. No maintenance had been done on the car and had issues with the lift gate with no washer fluid. They also don’t have a restroom for customers.

Have been renting vehicles from this location for years. Just picked up a car that I prepaid for a week. While waiting a person returns a car. The representative then gives me the car--without washing or cleaning the vehicle. I did see an attendant drive the vehicle to the back and then back to the front. The vehicle had bird poop on the hood. When I asked to have it cleaned he states "The vehicle is clean to our standards." Also stated, if I rented an high end car, then maybe it would be washed! I guess it's too much to expect a clean car when you rent from this location! (Firestone, Santa Fe Springs)

STAY AWAY!!! If I could put ZERO stars I would!! Picked up rental car, opened the sunglasses holder & out fell a baggie of coke, fentanyl or meth, returned to location, female agent said there's nothing they could do about it that they don't deep clean rental cars so there's nothing they or corporate will do about it, so rude & unprofessional. We have 3 small children imagine if they would've found it, or worse we would've gotten pulled over what then?! Avis telephone didn't help either no one seems to understand or care the severity of this we do not know how everyone is so nonchalant about it. They didnt offer to give us another car because god forbid more drugs are hidden somewhere else in the current vehicle. Avis telephone said to go to another Avis & exchange the car BUT I told them

Great renting experience from this location. Fast and friendly representatives. Car was clean and smell free. Love that they enforce a non smoking, vehicle overall cleanliness standards, and no pets rule upon return because some people are very dirty. Very appreciative of this effort.
