Avis Car Rental

Terrible experience from the moment of the initial check in to getting customer service that wasn’t so friendly. The first car, was dirty and still had trash located in the trunk. After waiting for the second car, that was also dirty. I came back to get it cleaned and was approached with the most rude customer service due to the lady being “overwhelmed” with the amount of customers needing service. I would think when a company has 50+ cars reserved for a particular date, Avis would’ve been prepared.

Slowest car rental location of any airport. Stuck in 1990 with dot matrix printers. Not sure why they can’t have contracts ready and you show your id for keys like other airports.

Almost every time I arrive to pick up my reserved car, there’s no one at the desk. Additionally, the last few vehicles I’ve rented from this location have been missing windshield washer fluid. I’ve never had any issues like this at other locations. Second visit ​I arrived at the Avis counter at the Shreveport airport at 8:39 AM for my 9:00 AM rental. The representative, who I've encountered before, seemed annoyed and told me to come back because it wasn't 9:00 yet. Her consistently abrupt and unhelpful demeanor makes the rental process unpleasant.

Scammers. Beware that if you have a corporate discount with Avis once you arrive at this location, they attempt to force you to verify you are using it for business and have your business ID. If you do not, they will attempt to force you into a reservation at nearly 4 times your discounted rate. Rent somewhere else! It’s only this Avis location. Unprofessional and shady!!!

Never renting with Avis ever again. I rented from GA to return in LA, got there and had to rent another day due to our truck not being ready. I was charged more for an extra day than I was to rent and return in another state. Their cars are always nasty and something cosmetic is always wrong. I paid over $700 for a 2 day rental when it was only $274 to rent & return to another state for one day, the rest was the added day. Never ever again. Low budget cars for nice car prices.
