Avis Car Rental

We had a reservation set up via our Chase sapphire rewards. The best part and most disappointing part is I’ve been here an hour and these people are being told wait until the morning or wait until midnight until the Perferred Counter closes. Every person here has a reserved vehicle. I’d really like someone to give me a call. I got there at about9:57pm didn’t leave this spot until 12:06am the car had only 3 quarters of a tank and the key was busted.

HORRIBLE Horrible horrible 2 hours and 45 minutes to get a Rental car out of St. Louis International Airport STL. The folks working their went OUT of their way and spent every ounce of energy they had to let us know weeeeeeee was not Welcome. The other car rental buses went by on a regular schedule and 40 min after our flight a bus finally showed up. Once we arrived at the off site rental car center the building was full with earlier flights still waiting for a car. Two associates was working the counter and they would disappear for 10-15 min. They would head out to the parking and look for a vehicle that was suitable to rent.

Been waiting over an hour still have probably an hour to wait . How can you do this everyday and be so slow? Day 1 Update: Our Luxury Rental car smells bad every time we get in, and our wired Car Play does not work in this car. Terrible experience. I expected more when working through Costco. Day 2 Update: No one picks up the phone when I call this branch, I get sent to a national call center. I would like to know if I can switch out this stinky car that fights me to show maps and play music. I am 30 minutes from the location and don’t have time to drive over there and wait another hour or 2. Pay more and use Enterprise, regretting my choice.

Extremely Disappointing Experience. Would Not Recommend I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Avis Car Rental at St. Louis Airport and feel compelled to share it in the hopes that it prevents others from going through the same. Due to two flight cancellations caused by severe weather, I arrived later than originally planned to collect my rental vehicle. I collected the car within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time and was explicitly assured by the staff member at the counter that this would not be an issue and would not incur any additional fees. Unfortunately, the vehicle provided was in very poor condition covered in scratches and dents, and, most disturbingly, it had an overwhelming odour of cannabis inside. Frustrating Return Process – Poor Pickup Access The car rental itself was fine, but returning the vehicle was a hassle. The lot is huge, and once you drop off the car at the front, there’s no way for anyone to come in and pick you up—only rental returns are allowed in the parking lot. Even though there is an indoor waiting area, it doesn't help much because you still have to walk all the way out to Natural Bridge to meet a Lyft, Uber, or your ride. I have a torn ligament, and this made the whole process difficult and painful. I don’t think I’d rent from this location again unless they improve their pickup accessibility.
